Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Semi-Automatic Gun After Fleeing From Police, Cops Say

A Hudson Valley man was nabbed allegedly with a semi-automatic weapon after he was spotted by police at an apartment complex and was wanted for an altercation.

The incident occurred in Rockland County at 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, near the Spring Valley Commons apartment complex.

According to Spring Valley Police Det. Matthew Galli, Noah Chambers, age 19, Spring Valley, ran from officers when they attempted to stop him for an earlier altercation at the Family Dollar store.

Police gave chase and nabbed Chambers and a 16-year-old juvenile after crossing Slinn Avenue, Galli said.

Gallie said during the foot pursuit, officers spotted Chambers remove a black semi-automatic firearm from his waistband and throw it to the ground. The loaded gun was located and recovered at the scene. 

Galli said both were charged accordingly.
